Historical Ross
Island having beautiful wildlife. It is 2 kilometres away from port
blair. You can see dears, rabbits and peacocks roaming around there.
To reach at this excellent island you have to go by ferry only. There
is a long wait in the Port Blair harbour to get a ferry.
It is generally
hot so it so advisable to visit in the morning. There is no food or
cafe there.
Ross was residence
of British Officers and now a residence of Deer, rabbits and
Peacocks. Buildings like British Church, Mansion, Market etc. These
were built during British period. This offers a wonderful view of Sea
with clean water.
You also get chance to see a lot of
flora and fauna . Seeing how the trees have taken over the building
is also amazing. See blow image.
Definitely worth a visit. Night halt in ross Island is not
allowed .
